Regional Manager Wanted at the Läxhjälpen Foundation
Insamlingsstift LäxhjälpenStockholms län, Nacka
Previous experience is desired
The Läxhjälpen Foundation is looking for a Regional Manager
Do you want to help take Läxhjälpen to the next level? Do you enjoy reaching out to and inspiring a broad audience of school students, university students, business leaders, and public sector leaders? Läxhjälpen is in an exciting phase with expansive plans. Are you a goal-oriented leader with a network in business, the public sector, or education? If so, you might be the one we are looking for!
19,916 students did not pass school last year, and there are schools where 7 out of 10 students do not meet the requirements for high school eligibility. Läxhjälpen addresses one of our time's foremost societal challenges, the unequal school system, through a targeted and results-oriented tutoring program for students at risk of not passing school, so they can achieve high school eligibility with confidence for the future.
We are now looking for a driven, engaged, and communicative Regional Manager who is stimulated by problem-solving, a fast pace, and being the spider in the web. You will be an important and central part of Läxhjälpen and responsible for the implementation and goals in your region. The assignment spans a wide range of tasks. We are in an expansion phase and look forward to you coming and contributing with your experience!
The position entails, in brief:
- leading and developing the tutoring program in your region in close dialogue with other regional managers and the operational manager.
- supervising tutors and coordinators in your region and ensuring that established outreach and funding goals are met.
- selling Läxhjälpen to the business community and public sector, with the aim of expanding the scope and sustainability in the region.
- recruiting, training, and supervising university students as tutors in accordance with the tutoring program.
- ongoing quality assurance and follow-up of Läxhjälpen's structured working methods.
- selling and establishing the tutoring program in schools where the need is greatest.
- developing and collaborating with existing and new actors in the region.
- being responsible for coordination of activities, events, and fairs conducted in your region.
- ongoing development of processes in the tutoring program.
We believe that you:
- are a clear and inclusive leader who enjoys making things happen and is driven by working towards results.
- enjoy meeting young people and are driven to create structure while being flexible in everyday life, self-sufficient, and solution-oriented.
- have experience leading projects that involve collaboration with multiple stakeholders such as business and public sector.
- have experience in recruitment and preferably personnel responsibility, and are used to making quick and sometimes difficult decisions.
- share the values and vision of the Läxhjälpen Foundation for a society where all children and young people grow up with the conditions to succeed in school, develop, and shape their own future.
It is a great advantage if you have expertise in fundraising/sales from the public sector and business or B2B.
We offer an exciting and developing position with competent and engaged employees, an office of 12 people, and 600 employed university students across Sweden. Here you will have some influence over both your tasks and working hours. You will become an important part of the team and contribute to developing the entire organization.
The role is a permanent position at 100% and is based at our office in Sickla, Stockholm, with the possibility of hybrid work. Start date is as soon as possible according to agreement. Some irregular working hours and travel may occur.
At Läxhjälpen, we strive to broaden representation in our workforce and welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and life experiences. We also consider language skills beyond Swedish and English as an asset.
