We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school centers. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a teacher for a temporary position in after-school care at Tångenskolan.

The after-school care at Tångenskolan is divided into four departments that are age-divided. The departments have worked on common themes in recent school years. At the beginning of the autumn term, the after-school teachers and educators decide on different themes based on the students' interests and the prevailing areas of development. These themes are then worked on simultaneously by all four departments during the school year. This is to improve systematic quality work, make it easier to organize cross-age activities, and be able to evaluate collegially at after-school meetings. At the after-school meetings, various pedagogical and didactic questions are discussed, among other things, based on common literature studies. The meeting is also used to plan and evaluate themes, activities, and holidays, as well as to give/receive information from the after-school coordinator. The after-school meetings are led by a coordinator who brings up the after-school perspective at coordination meetings and drives the development of the operation forward together with the principal and teachers from other work teams.

Those who work in after-school care also have different competencies that are gladly utilized, which is why this thematic work is very rewarding for the operation. The after-school care has worked with themes such as: H2O, film and drama, space, history and mythology, and around the world. At the end of the school year, the thematic work is evaluated so that improvements can be made for the next school year.

The position involves planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching in after-school care. In grades 1-3, Tångenskolan has so-called PA sessions during the school day. This means that classes are taught in half classes for a number of hours each week. During these lessons, primary school teachers and after-school teachers work together with their respective half classes.

The After-School Day, which falls on the second Tuesday in May each year, is something that Tångenskolan wants to highlight and celebrate. Partly to increase the status of after-school care in society but also to have a wonderful day when students, teachers/educators, and guardians meet and have a good time together. On this day, activities such as ball throwing, lotteries, cake and sausage sales, flea markets, quiz walks, graffiti walls, and face painting are usually organized. The after-school teachers/educators plan and organize this celebration together with the principal and class parents and help each other as ONE school on this wonderful day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are an educated and certified teacher in after-school care. It is an advantage if you have experience working in an after-school care according to the guidelines in the Swedish National Agency for Education's general advice on quality in after-school care.

As a person, you are pedagogical and gain energy from contributing to others' learning, and you create conditions for learning to take place. You take responsibility for your own and the common tasks with the students' best interests in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. The role also requires that you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals, but also that you can act on your own based on what the situation requires.

To ensure that you, as a newly graduated teacher, get the best possible start in your profession, you will be part of the School Administration's Teacher Academy's introduction for newly graduated teachers. The introduction provides you as a newly graduated teacher with a network with other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
