The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) in Skåne is part of the administration for Psychiatry, habilitation, and aids, offering specialized care in child and adolescent psychiatry to the residents of Skåne. The operational area provides emergency care around the clock and planned care in various forms. Bup is an accredited university hospital unit, which means we have a close collaboration with the medical faculty at Lund University, both in terms of research and education. We are involved in training medical students from Lund University at our units in Lund, Malmö, and Helsingborg. Today, we have approximately 600 employees within Bup Skåne. You will have the opportunity to treat both acute and more long-term conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a resident physician with us, you will perform clinical duties under supervision, with your first placement being at one of our outpatient clinics in Trelleborg and Malmö. Courses and seminars are also a given to achieve the objectives outlined in the residency program. Professional development is also offered through regular teaching, joint ST days, and more. We have an engaged program director and experienced specialists who mentor our resident physicians.

We offer a high-quality training position with great opportunities to develop both as a clinician and a researcher. The structure of the positions is planned in consultation with the area manager, program director, and supervisor, and the content follows the objectives established to achieve specialist competence in child and adolescent psychiatry. Many of our resident physicians also engage in research, pedagogy, and quality work.

During your training, you will serve at various units within Bup Skåne, with side training/service in adult psychiatry, pediatrics, and addiction care. On-call duties in the combined on-call line of child and adolescent psychiatry will also be included. You will participate in ST seminars once a month organized for resident physicians at Bup Skåne. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to continuously meet engaged colleagues for the exchange of experiences. Additional forums include regional physician meetings at Bup Skåne where you, together with specialist physicians, will have the opportunity to discuss working methods, processes, and more. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have previous experience working with children and families, and we welcome your interest in research and/or experience in research.

You who apply have good communication skills and can clearly and pedagogically convey knowledge and involve the patient in their care. You are interested in working in a child psychiatric team with an interdisciplinary approach and participating in change and development work within Bup. We expect you to have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work environment. As there is development of digital systems and working methods, you need to be open to working in current systems and be curious to embrace new ones. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and collaboration skills. In the event of employment, a check against suspicion and criminal records will be conducted.
