Job Responsibilities

What does it mean to work as a substitute?

The home care service in Kungälv municipality is divided into eight home care groups based in different locations around the municipality. As a substitute, you, along with your colleagues, are one of the key persons in the network around the clients. Your responsibilities include providing care and support based on their individual needs. In addition to care and service tasks, documentation in Treserva and delegated health and medical care tasks from a nurse are also included in your responsibilities.

We expect you to take responsibility for your tasks and perform them professionally. Your assignment also includes having a good and service-oriented approach towards clients, relatives, colleagues, and other partners. We can offer you a meaningful and varied job with the opportunity to make a difference!

Once you are hired as a substitute, you will receive an oral overview from the unit manager/coordinator and an introduction at the workplace together with regular staff who will familiarize you with the tasks. The number of introduction sessions may vary.

Your working hours are important, and you will enter your availability in our substitute system Time Care Pool. The operation runs every day of the week, day and evening, and we prefer that you make yourself available for at least three shifts per week.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is interested in working in home care. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in the healthcare profession.

To work in home care, a B driver's license or the ability to cycle is required.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

What does our recruitment process look like?

• Selection and interviews take place continuously during the application period based on the needs of the operations.
• You must provide a reference to your current or most recent manager, supervisor with name, phone number, and email address. Do you have no previous work experience? Provide one of your teachers from your high school as a reference. Contact your references before you submit their contact information. If you have previously been employed in Kungälv municipality, we will contact internal references.
• For those who are not citizens of the EU/EES area, a work permit is required, this does not apply to those with permanent residence permits. The work permit must be presented at the interview.
