Lawyer for Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO)

Are you a lawyer with a strong passion for making a difference in healthcare? Do you have experience in procurement and municipal law issues and want to expand your expertise in transparency and confidentiality, healthcare law? Then this position might be for you!

We are looking for a lawyer to join Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO) in an advisory and supportive role within a dynamic organization with many points of contact. The Secretariat & Sustainability Unit is currently located in new, fresh premises at Torsplan in Stockholm. Here, you will find a good collaborative climate, a balance between work and leisure, the opportunity to work remotely part of the time, and an organizational culture where we support each other and have fun together.

Selection and interviews are ongoing, we warmly welcome your application!

About the Position

As a lawyer, you will belong to the Secretariat & Sustainability within Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO). The Secretariat & Sustainability is a unit that includes functions for registration, archives, law, environment, social sustainability, as well as information security and SLSO's overall management system. You will be one of four lawyers primarily working with advisory services and internal training.

Your Main Responsibilities

As a lawyer, you are responsible for ensuring that the healthcare area's legal internal issues are handled efficiently and reliably. You will work in an advisory and supportive capacity, which includes investigating and processing cases as well as participating in training for healthcare staff. You will also assist SLSO's management and board in legal matters, support the contract and procurement manager, department heads, and the chief physician with legal expertise, and support the operations in legal matters. The lawyer function handles issues related to medical law, including psychiatric coercive care legislation, municipal law, and research. At SLSO, decision-making paths are short, and the goal is to make decisions as close to the core mission as possible. The role involves many contacts both internally and externally, and there is a network of lawyers within Region Stockholm to support you.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a law degree and at least 2-3 years of current experience in qualified legal issues within the mentioned areas of law. Experience and knowledge of contract law and procurement legislation are valued. If you also have experience in healthcare legislation, municipal law, or issues related to psychiatry, we consider you particularly interesting.

Your knowledge of transparency and confidentiality legislation is very good, and you are used to working in a supportive and advisory role within an organization. You have experience in conducting training and workshops and enjoy having extensive contact points. If you have an interest in data protection issues, that is a plus.

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and their knowledge. You work independently and in a structured manner, are analytical, and have the ability to find solutions to complex issues. To succeed in this role, collaboration skills, humility, and the ability to build good relationships are crucial. You enjoy conveying expert knowledge and guidance in your field and do so in a pedagogical and clear manner.

As the lawyer function is a support for the operations, it is important that you are service-oriented but also have the ability to set boundaries and prioritize. It is essential that you thrive in an environment where needs vary over time and where questions sometimes require quick answers. Joy in work, energy, and engagement are, of course, also highly appreciated. In this recruitment, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

About the Organization

SLSO creates good conditions for you as an employee to develop and excel in your profession. You have benefits such as free healthcare, additional compensation during parental leave, wellness benefits, the opportunity for salary exchange, pension agreements, and insurance. SLSO strives for equality and equity in our workplace and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.

The recruitment process includes personality and logical/analytical tests.
