We are looking for an Assistive Device Repair Technician for the Logistics Section of the Assistive Device Center

Job Responsibilities

As an assistive device repair technician, you will work within our logistics section in Västerås and be part of a team consisting of approximately 25 people. The work mainly involves cleaning and restoring wheelchairs, walkers, textiles, and beds. Work in other areas of the logistics section, such as warehousing and transportation, may occur.

About the Workplace

The Assistive Device Center is a county-wide operation that works with purchasing, information and consultation, warehousing, and service of assistive devices for people with mobility impairments, cognitive disabilities, and communication difficulties. The Assistive Device Center is also responsible for coordinating incontinence aids. The operation is revenue-financed and politically governed by a joint committee with representatives from the county council and the ten municipalities of the county.

Qualifications

You have a high school education with a technical focus or other experience that we consider suitable. We prefer that you have previous experience in service and maintenance of assistive devices or similar equipment. The position involves daily tasks that can be physically demanding, so it is a prerequisite that you have good physical fitness. Good knowledge of the Office suite is also considered significant for the position. We are currently on an exciting digital transformation journey, exploring new technical solutions, and we hope you want to contribute with the skills or qualifications we do not have.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is an advantage.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time. Daytime Monday to Friday.
