The adult psychiatry area in Lund provides psychiatric health care for adults over 18 years old. We conduct assessments/investigations of psychological symptoms and issues, as well as offer care, treatment, and rehabilitation based on a cross-professional competence.

In spring 2024, adult psychiatry in Lund underwent a reorganization that resulted in the formation of an administrative unit within the organization. This has meant that the unit includes administrative staff such as administrators and medical secretaries. The workgroup consists of about 39 employees. It is important for us to take care of our colleagues, to help each other, and to lift one another in our tasks.

Your placement is shared between adult psychiatry reception 1 general psychiatry and the eating disorder unit, belonging to the Administrative Unit. The adult psychiatry reception 1 in Lund is a specialist psychiatric reception with about 25 employees that is at the forefront of development and works with team-based care. Here, patients with affective disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, as well as various forms of personality disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions are assessed and treated.

The eating disorder center has a regional mission and offers highly specialized inpatient care and day care. We provide outpatient care for patients living in Lund's catchment area. About 40 employees from various professional categories work here. In the autumn of 2021, the area applied for permission to operate one of five national highly specialized care units in Sweden for treatment-resistant eating disorders. If the application is approved, child and adolescent psychiatry will also be part of Region Skåne's national highly specialized care mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary with us, you are an important asset to both the organizations and our patients. Through your trustworthy approach, high service sense, and natural calm, you contribute to stability and security for both patients and staff.

Your responsibilities include booking appointments, receiving phone calls, writing medical records, and assisting with other administrative tasks at the reception. In the role, you will also have your own areas of responsibility, which will be shaped individually based on the needs of the units and your competence. At the eating disorder center, you will also collaborate with a secretary colleague within inpatient and day care.

This is a role for you who enjoy varied tasks as you will be placed in two different units, where an open and positive work climate is central!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration (KY 80p/YH 400p) or equivalent education as a medical secretary. You have good knowledge of medical terminology and good proficiency in the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Furthermore, we would like you to have good experience working in the Våps system and a general good knowledge of various administrative digital systems, as we will soon introduce the new digital care system SDV (Skåne's digital care system).

It is important that you are service-oriented and provide a good reception to both patients and colleagues.
