Business Developer at Lerum Municipality

Lerum Municipality is known for its scenic locations with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Lerum is only a 20-minute commute from Gothenburg and is currently facing a development-intensive period with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. Within the area of Authority and Labor and Support, there are eight units responsible for authority operations under several legislations, including the Social Services Act, the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons, the Housing Adaptation Grant Act, the Transport Service Act, and parking permits. In total, we are about 140 employees who together work to provide the best possible support to the residents of Lerum. Active development work is ongoing in all units, along with a transition to the new Social Services Act. We support each other across units and work based on a cohesive social service, celebrating successes together.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In your role as a business developer, you will support department heads and unit managers and will work closely with the management team. The main area of focus for this position is authority operations within social services, and a significant part of the assignment will be closely linked to the new Social Services Act. You are crucial in helping the organization achieve its goals and drive the improvements we want to create. Together with managers, you will lead and develop the area's work with business planning and follow-up, as well as work on business development. You will have significant responsibility for supporting the work with the business plan, reports, and the annual report together with managers. The job involves proactive work, identifying development opportunities, and producing well-founded documentation. The work also includes coordinating and reporting back, as well as leading or participating in various projects.

An important part of the assignment is to be proactive in quality work within both areas of operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in social work, behavioral science, or equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer,
• current and several years of experience as a business controller, business developer, method developer, or similar role of at least 3 years,
• current experience in independently driving complex development and improvement work,
• very good ability to express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Training in process management, process development, or analysis,
• experience in change management,
• experience working within social services,
• experience in preventive development work within social services.

In the role of business developer, it is important that you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and processes. You plan and prioritize your work effectively based on set goals, structures, and timelines. Since the position involves many contact points both internally and externally, it requires good collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly, pedagogically, and professionally. You are someone who takes initiative and makes things happen. You are proactive in development and improvement work and contribute with innovative thinking and engagement.
