Technical System Leader for Naval C2 System
Do you want to be part of developing the Navy's material office, MtrlK, and our work with C2 systems (Command-and-Control)?
About the Department
TVA (Technical and Maintenance Department) Navy, is a department within the Navy Staff's Material Office, MtrlK. The main purpose of the Navy Staff's Material Office is to support the Navy Chief in ensuring that the Armed Forces' material possesses the capabilities over time that each combat unit requires. This means that TVA should support creating conditions for the material to be available and system-worthy at the decided level. MtrlK needs to grow and requires additional staff. We are now looking for a Technical System Leader (TSL) for the naval C2 system (Command-and-Control).
Main Responsibilities:
- be responsible for the maintenance of C2 systems and other command support systems
- exercise material and design responsibility for assigned material and coordinate other branches' material in the Navy
- support in connection with system and material deliveries
- ensure that requirements for operational security, confidentiality, work environment, system security, consideration for the external environment, supervision, and reporting are met for the Armed Forces' material
- support the Technical Manager at the Navy Staff and Material System Responsible (MSA) within design responsibility and maintenance
- lead and participate in various forums such as Technical Council and user meetings
- conduct material allocation needs and support other TVA in material allocation of these material systems
- follow up on system worthiness/security for assigned material and lead/participate in system security work
- lead the ordering organization regarding maintenance and modifications within the framework of maintenance
- follow up on maintenance economy regarding budget, forecasts, and outcomes
The work involves close collaboration within TVA, the Product Leader at the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, maintenance managers in the Armed Forces, as well as units and industry.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- university education in engineering or education deemed equivalent by the Armed Forces
- professional experience in IT systems
- documented experience of working with technical systems
- experience working with the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
- driving license B

MERITORIOUS
- technical background
- knowledge of naval technical systems and material in general
- work experience from naval and civilian vessels or schools
- manage support systems commonly used within the Armed Forces
- academic education in specific IT/System Science
- knowledge of NATO requirement documents such as FMN

Employment form is permanent. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.
Work location: Muskö. The position includes travel.
Employment rate: 100%
The position is civilian.
