Welcome to us

We are a small team with diverse skills at the newly established Adult Education Center in Kista center.

Here, study administrators, study and career counselors, test educators, and curators work together to best meet the citizens in the Järva area. Our customers can apply for Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and municipal adult education (Komvux), meet a study and career counselor, and test their knowledge in Swedish, Swedish as a second language, English, and mathematics. Our workplace is located in the middle of Kista Galleria, three minutes from the subway. We also have a close collaboration with the adult education center in Södermalm and Jobbtorg Unga Kista, with which we are co-located. We work office hours and primarily on-site, but in the future, some evenings may be included based on our mission to also work with local collaboration and outreach to get more people into studies.

Your role

As a study administrator, you work to provide optimal service to our customers. The work is done in close collaboration with all educational providers in the city. You report directly to the unit manager.

Your tasks mainly involve:

• Providing information and service regarding studies and study finances
• Assisting with applications to Komvux
• Participating in the development of routines and working methods
• Working outreach and contributing to making adult education visible and spreading information about studies within Komvux in Järva and Västerort, including through presence at citizen offices and libraries.
• Participating in events and activities that increase knowledge about and inspiration for studies within Komvux.
• Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with local actors, both public and civil society, to reach those in need of studies.

You will be scheduled at certain times to receive visitors during our opening hours, staff our customer phone, and manage our shared functional mailbox.

Many of our customers have a different native language than Swedish, which is why we communicate partially in English.

Your experience and competencies

We are looking for someone who has:

• a high school diploma
• experience in independent case management
• experience in customer and service-oriented operations
• experience in outreach work
• experience in administrative work
• very good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office suite
• the ability to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

It is advantageous if you have worked:

• in administrative work within adult education, such as course administration and grade management
• as a job coach or supervisor
• experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships
• experience working with newly arrived individuals/people who have Swedish as a second language
• within municipal operations
