Who are we?

Kättinge School is located in beautiful Vikbolandet; in the countryside and close to the archipelago, about 1.5 mil from Arkösund. We are a small primary and middle school with approximately 80 students and an associated after-school program, where safety, community, and curiosity characterize the entire operation. The school collaborates on the principal position and certain other roles with other schools in Vikbolandet, which gives you collegial contexts both on-site and in a larger network. About 15 people work at the school.

We are in a long-term development process where we are building structures for safety, participation, and goal fulfillment. As a lead teacher, you will be an important part of this work.

Your responsibilities

As a lead teacher at Kättinge School, you will lead and develop the pedagogical work in close collaboration with colleagues and school management. You will initiate and drive processes for collegial learning, subject development, and didactic reflection.

You are a clear role model in teaching and contribute to high expectations and good results. Furthermore, you actively work for an accessible and inclusive learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to succeed. All your work is based on research and proven experience and contributes to the overall development of the school.

The role also includes a significant amount of teaching, but an important part of your position will consist of development assignments and mentoring within the work team.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications for F–3 or F–6. You have several years of teaching experience with good results, particularly in the early school years.

You have a clear development focus and a strong interest in didactics and school development. As a person, you thrive in a smaller school environment where you can work closely with both colleagues and students. You are structured, curious, relationship-building, and have the ability to inspire others.

You must also meet the Swedish National Agency for Education's criteria for lead teacher assignments. It is an advantage if you have experience in mentoring, process leadership, or development assignments from previous roles. In your application, you need to attach your degree certificate, teacher license, and documentation showing at least four years of well-regarded teaching experience.
