About DFDS Contracts Logistics

DFDS Contracts Logistics is a full-service provider in contract logistics with facilities in Gothenburg, Borås, Jönköping, and Karlshamn. We employ around 250 people full-time in Sweden. Our warehouse in Viared outside Borås has been fully operational since January 2022 and is now facing growth with several new customers.

About the job

As an Operations Manager, you will drive and develop the business towards ambitious goals and KPIs. You will be responsible for the operational activities through Team Leaders with KPI and production planning tools as support. You will ensure close monitoring regarding productivity, quality, and finances as well as effective resource utilization. The business is planned both short and long-term, and continuous improvements characterize your daily work.

In this role, you are expected to:

• Organize and coordinate efforts for smooth and efficient operations.
• Be focused, execute, and complete activities with results in mind.
• Control costs and act cost-consciously with precision regarding resource usage.
• Follow up and evaluate results and status against set goals for continuous development.

As a leader, you will coach your team and supporting functions in a visible, clear, and trustworthy manner. You will report to the General Manager.

Main responsibilities:

• Optimize operations towards ambitious goals and KPIs
• Personnel responsibility and its follow-up
• Customer dialogue and participation in customer meetings
• Be well-informed about contracts and flows
• KPI reporting and analysis
• Booking of transports and optimization of logistics flows
• Approval of supplier and customer invoices as well as time registration
• Work environment efforts and safety focus

About you

To fit into the role, we believe you have several years of experience in a leadership position within logistics and/or transport, preferably in contract logistics. You are used to having customer dialogue and see the importance of building long-term relationships.
