The Swedish Tourist Association operates eight mountain stations

STF Abisko Tourist Station is located in Abisko National Park, 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle and is the Swedish Tourist Association's northernmost mountain station. We have been conducting visitor activities here since 1903. Our visitors come from all over the world, year-round, to experience the mountain world around Torneträsk, hike or ski along the Kungsleden, and to witness the legendary Northern Lights!

We are now looking for two cable car technicians and property caretakers.

Life at a mountain station is varied, exciting, and educational, just like a day in the mountains can be. The work as a cable car technician is very diverse in both pace and tasks, and we are looking for someone who can keep more than two balls in the air at the same time and enjoys staying busy. During the operational season when maintenance needs are lower, you will mainly work as a property caretaker. In the shoulder season, you will work full-time with maintenance and service of the cable car. During the operational season, you will also be the operations manager. As the operations manager, you are the one who decides to start the lift and ensures safe operations for both the cable car and our guests. You will also be involved in training and onboarding new seasonal staff.

As part of the mountain station, you will work in a close-knit team that only sees opportunities. In the group, we support each other and help out in other areas of the mountain station if needed. What does the role of cable car technician/property caretaker entail?

• Maintenance of the cable car and our properties, together with other property caretakers
• Operations manager for the cable car
• Daily maintenance tasks such as waste management, transportation, snow plowing, sanding, and routine checks
• Support the mountain station in other tasks

Information about the position

• Employment form: permanent with an initial 6-month probationary period
• 100% with start date according to agreement
• Work schedule follows the needs of the business and involves work on both weekdays and weekends, during the day and evening
• On-call duty that varies by season and need
• Salary according to the collective agreement Visita/HRF, Tourist Supplement
• Meal deductions according to the collective agreement
