Workplace Description
Lund University is at the forefront of cell and gene therapy research. To translate research into therapies known as ATMP (Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products), the Faculty of Medicine's LU ATMP Center has established a preGMP facility.
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is a method for producing therapeutic products and differs significantly from production in a research lab in terms of purity, processes, and documentation. The preGMP unit consists of facilities that simulate GMP where ATMP development is carried out to produce pre-clinical cell and gene therapy products. The primary task of the preGMP facility is to support researchers in technology transfer from manufacturing processes under good research practices to manufacturing under GMP-classified methods, as well as process and assay development with advanced instrumentation. The preGMP unit is located at BMC and consists of nearly 200 square meters divided into two GMP simulator cell rooms and a larger process and assay development lab. The preGMP unit is physically close to the SUS GMP facility, which benefits close collaboration.
We are now looking for a driven and experienced project manager in ATMP development to lead the startup of the preGMP core facility. As a workplace, we value a good working environment with respect and care in our relationships with each other.
