We will adapt the role based on your skills and experiences, which means you can be a recent graduate with strong drive and interest or have extensive experience in the field.
Are we a good match? We are in an expansive phase and work with cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking research. We focus on our customers' needs and thus develop technology and measurement techniques that are not yet commercially available on the market. There are good opportunities for you to develop in the area you find interesting and thus have a significant impact on your own role and development. About us Our operations in Borås are growing, and we are looking for someone with a strong interest in electrical power and energy. We are a national center for traceable and quality-assured measurement technology and a Swedish national measurement site for several quantities. In our High Voltage unit, we have the country's leading resources for measurement and research in electrical power and energy as well as high voltage. You will belong to the Power and Energy group, which is part of High Voltage. We are currently a group of eight dedicated measurement technicians, engineers, and researchers, and our operations are characterized by constantly being at the forefront to meet the industry's needs. The position is located in Borås, where we have our labs and where many of our projects are carried out with physical measurements.
About the role We offer a dynamic everyday life where you will have the opportunity to work with varied tasks in RISE laboratories and also on-site with our customers around Sweden, which involves travel in the job. As a Measurement Technician, you will work on both national and international assignments, where your main focus will be on calibration and testing of equipment for power, energy, and power quality measurements. If interested, there is also the opportunity to participate in research and development projects, both internally and directly for customers. You will work broadly and cover the entire chain of measurements, from calibrating electricity meters in a lab environment to checking energy measurement systems on-site at stations. You may collaborate with customers such as grid owners, companies in calibration and measurement of electrical power, as well as manufacturers of electricity meters and charging stations.
Swedish citizenship is mandatory, and the position is classified in a security class, which means you need to undergo a security review in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
Who are you? You have an engineering degree in electrical engineering, electrical power, energy, or similar. Work experience in areas such as electrical measurement technology, calibration of instruments for electrical quantities, electricity meters, relay protection, or electrical power in general is an advantage. Practical experience in power grids or electrical lab environments is also advantageous. You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and a B driver's license is required.
To be successful in the role, you have a strong drive to develop both yourself and the organization. You find it easy to communicate and collaborate with others. You are an enthusiastic and curious person with a strong desire to make a difference. To succeed in the role, you also have a good understanding of technology with the ability to find solutions. Welcome with your application!
