RESPONSIBILITIES

As a vehicle coordinator, you will have overall responsibility for achieving the goal that Kristianstad Municipality should have a more economically and environmentally efficient vehicle fleet. This includes working to create more efficient shared car pools and promoting the transition from fossil to renewable fuels.

Your role also includes collaborating with the operations to develop proposals for governing documents and plans that you implement in your daily work. You will work to ensure that the operations comply with established goals, policies, and guidelines in the area. You will be the contact person for vehicle-related questions from the municipality's staff.

We work in the administrative support system fleet intelligence and electronic logbooks. The assignment currently includes about 570 passenger cars and light trucks. The vehicle fleet is continuously renewed, and the vehicle coordinator is responsible for vehicle orders from the municipality's framework agreements, management of leasing contracts, and relocation of vehicles. In procurements, you will compile needs and requirements in collaboration with the responsible purchaser.

If necessary, you will install/replace hardware in the vehicles. The role also includes investigating and analyzing the operations' driving patterns and vehicle needs. Cost monitoring for the vehicle fleet regarding maintenance, service, fuel, and environmental reporting is also included.

You will have daily management and planning of the unit's seven service employees and be one of the municipality's traffic managers for professional traffic. Administration and planning of the delivery of our transition/emergency stock also fall under your responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has at least a high school diploma. Leadership and work environment training is an advantage. Experience in daily management and planning for employees is required for the role. We also want you to have experience in administrative work where the tasks have involved daily contact with different functions/roles and where you have had some form of responsibility for the vehicle fleet.

You have good computer skills and experience working in IT systems such as operational systems. You have a B driver's license and can drive vehicles with manual transmission. As a vehicle coordinator, communication with various stakeholders is important, and we therefore see that you master the Swedish language fluently in both speech and writing.

We would also like you to have work experience from:

• Driving development work
• Professional traffic and logistics
• Experience in conducting training
• Project management and follow-up, preferably with budget responsibility

In the role of vehicle coordinator, you will work broadly and cross-functionally, which requires both good collaboration skills and the ability to work independently. The needs of the operations are essential in the work, and you are communicative and service-oriented in your interactions with employees in the municipality's operations.

The Municipal Executive Office leads, coordinates, follows up, and develops the municipality's operations from a holistic perspective. Here you will find operations such as finance, HR, IT, citizen center, and strategic issues, as well as all joint services with cleaning, meal, and transport operations in the administration. The work of the Municipal Executive Office should contribute to a positive development for all who live, work, run businesses, study, or visit our municipality. The Municipal Council provides the framework and directives.
