The mission of child psychiatry involves specialized child and adolescent psychiatry for patients up to 18 years old. The service operates child psychiatric outpatient clinics in Helsingborg, Ängelholm, and Landskrona, as well as intermediate care including infant services and family day care. Child psychiatric inpatient care is located in Malmö.
Our clinic is tasked with providing specialized outpatient psychiatric care for patients up to 18 years old, which includes caring for patients with moderate to severe mental health issues. Assessment and treatment work is carried out in a multidisciplinary team characterized by close collaboration between different professional groups. We strive for short communication paths and close cooperation among all colleagues. We actively work to improve and refine our methods to reach more patients effectively and safely.
The clinic belongs to the Helsingborg area, which includes outpatient clinics in Ängelholm and Landskrona, as well as day care psychiatry for the entire area. Within day care psychiatry, infant services and intermediate care are provided by the adolescent and family day care department. Inpatient care is located in Malmö.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We welcome you who are interested in working with the mental health of children and adolescents and want to be part of our team! Part of the position involves working in our eating disorder team, while the rest will be shaped based on your skills and the needs of the service.
As a nurse, you will make independent assessments of patients who need medical follow-up in close collaboration with the clinic’s doctors. We have a well-established structure for medical follow-ups. In your work, you will have close dialogue and collaboration with the clinic’s chief physician, doctors, and nurses, as well as other involved professionals including social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. The work also includes contact with care neighbors, including schools and student health services, as well as social services in surrounding municipalities, for example, to gather information and in connection with SIP meetings.
We appreciate an interest in further education and personal development in your work, and we offer ongoing supervision in addition to mentorship during the introductory phase.
Working hours are scheduled during the day from 08:00 to 16:30.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale and basic computer skills are required. Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry and eating disorder care is necessary for the position. Additionally, we would like you to have CBT competence, with knowledge in E-CBT being particularly meritorious. Since travel is involved in the position, a valid B driving license is an advantage.
As a person, you have a knack for collaboration, both internally and externally, and are responsible. You are solution-focused and have a good ability to structure and organize your work. Furthermore, we value that you, just like us, see a good approach towards both colleagues and patients and their relatives as a given. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
