Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in Nynäshamn municipality, you will play a vital role in an organization that fulfills an important social function. You will work in teams where all employees share a common responsibility for achieving the goals in our work plans and governing documents. Through collegial learning, professional development, and municipal subject conferences, we develop our teaching.

You are a clear leader in the classroom and care about good relationships, active teaching, and high goal achievement. You work from a formative perspective with the student’s learning in focus. The school has been working for several years to develop collegial learning and a formative approach.

As a woodworking and metalworking teacher, you will work with students in grades 3-6 at Vanstaskolan as well as in the adapted primary school 1-9.

About the Workplace

The main task of the Department of Children and Education is to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment where we prepare children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and recreational activities for all residents.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you have:

Teaching certification and qualification in the subject
Experience working as a woodworking and metalworking teacher
Knowledge of the current curriculum
Knowledge of the school’s governing documents
Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
