Do you want to work with technically advanced automation in the Swedish process industry and have the opportunity to grow in a social, educational, and varied role? We are now looking for a junior automation engineer to join an experienced team where you will have the chance to contribute from day one – while developing in your role with mentors, training, and hands-on learning.

About the role

You will be part of an aftermarket team within automation that works with system solutions and service for control systems in the Swedish process industry. The assignments vary from shorter field service tasks and contractual services to smaller projects in troubleshooting, upgrading, and modernizing automation systems. In this role, you will work closely with customers in areas such as combined heat and power, chemicals, food, and pulp/paper. The focus is often on the entire automation environment of the systems rather than on individual PLC programming. The role includes both technical work and a lot of communication with customers, where an important part of the job is to explain, troubleshoot, and provide solutions.

Travel mainly occurs within Western Sweden, sometimes with overnight stays. However, many assignments are day trips and are planned with consideration for the balance between work and leisure.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in technology who is comfortable in social settings. You need to be curious, self-driven, and enjoy taking responsibility. You thrive in customer dialogue, are clear in your communication, and have a natural drive to solve problems.

Requirements

• Relevant education and/or relevant work experience
• Understanding of industrial control systems
• Understanding and interest in IT and networks
• Swedish and English in spoken and written form
• Driver's license B

Meritorious

• Experience with ABB System 800xA
• Previous work experience
