About the positionIn the defense industry and armed forces, there are tough requirements for sustainability and responsible handling of chemicals. The armed forces are to work for a sustainable operation where all sustainability dimensions (social, environmental, and economic) are included in the operations. The authority does this, among other things, by:
- Conducting systematic and integrated work regarding equality and equal treatment, as well as ensuring a good and safe working environment.
- Taking environmental considerations in peace by conducting systematic environmental work that means having good knowledge of the authority's impact on the environment and taking action.
- Conducting climate adaptation work to ensure that the authority can carry out its main tasks and tasks according to the authority's instructions in a changing climate.
- Managing state funds well and setting sustainability requirements in procurement.
VEIDEC knows that they can make a difference and sees a great business potential aimed at this industry segment. At the same time, VEIDEC knows that the success factor lies in a good understanding of the industry's purchasing processes, procurements, and networks. In order to unlock the market potential that exists, VEIDEC is therefore looking for a sales manager responsible for the defense industry.
Main tasks- Identify and process new potential companies within the defense industry in Sweden, Denmark, and Finland
- Actively engage with the armed forces
- Work with existing (<5) customers to develop the relationship and business
- Work with procurements
- Educate users of the products at customer sites
- Be an ambassador, spread knowledge, and support business contacts between VEIDEC and potential business partners within the defense industry in Europe
- Identify market needs and reformulate these into internal development efforts to strengthen our position and offering
- Report monthly on business development to the Sales Manager Sweden AB.
Other tasks may also occur.
Working hours: Daytime
Employment type: Permanent full-time employment with a standard six-month probationary period.
Start for the position: Immediately or by agreement
Address to the workplace: The position is field-based. The head office is located in Veberöd.

Requirements
- Several years of experience in sales towards the armed forces and/or the defense industry
- Established network within the defense industry
- Documented good sales results
- Fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
We are looking for a person with a very good ability to initiate new business opportunities and who, with a clear drive, can lead customers through the entire business process to completion. The role requires a structured and action-oriented individual with a solution-oriented approach and a strong desire to achieve results.
You are results-oriented with a genuine customer focus and have a good understanding of the defense industry's specific purchasing behaviors, processes, and requirements. Furthermore, you have good knowledge in the sustainability area – both regarding the environment and working environment – as well as the ability to see and use sustainability as a clear business driver.
We see that you have excellent communication and presentation skills, and that you are a strong communicator who easily inspires and engages your surroundings.
Emphasis is also placed on other personal qualities.
