AjaBajaCancer is looking for an engaged communicator for a temporary position starting in August 2025.

AjaBajaCancer is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 with the goal of easing the everyday lives of families affected by childhood cancer. Our vision is that no one should feel alone when a child is diagnosed with cancer. In the past year, we have supported over 610 families – and we are constantly developing our support.

We are now looking for a creative communicator to replace our colleague during her parental leave. In this role, you will hold a key position in strengthening AjaBajaCancer's brand and spreading our messages. We are looking for someone who loves storytelling, thrives in a small team, and wants to help create real change.

About the position

As a communicator, you will be an important part of our team of five. We work closely with our board and engaged volunteers. The position is 100% and offers flexible working hours. The temporary position extends from August 2025 until September 30, 2026, with a possibility of extension.

Your main responsibilities:

• Create content for social media, website, and newsletters.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing efforts.
• Develop new ways to increase donation revenue and follower engagement.
• Collect and analyze data to create targeted communication.
• Edit and adapt image and video material.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience in creating content in both text and image, and who is accustomed to working with social media as a strategic channel. You also have a relevant university degree.

You preferably have:

• Experience in digital communication and production.
• Good knowledge of Adobe programs, Canva, and WordPress.
• Previously worked as a client towards agencies or external partners.
• Documented experience from similar roles.

Additional information

• Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
• If you proceed in the process, two psychological tests and a work sample will be included to ensure a fair and accurate match.
• Final candidates will also undergo a background check in the form of an extract from the criminal record.
