The role of the psychologist

The psychologists at the habilitation center have general knowledge of the psychological and social consequences of disabilities and specific knowledge of how different disabilities can affect an individual's development and daily life. You will work with the team on assessments, investigations, and diagnoses, as well as treatment and counseling based on your professional competence, directed towards the individual and their network. A large part of the work takes place in interdisciplinary teams. You provide advice and support to parents and relatives, as well as consultative support to staff. You will also participate in information and training initiatives.

Your future workplace

The habilitation center works with people with disabilities. We cater to individuals who have:

• Intellectual disabilities
• Permanent motor disabilities that are congenital or acquired during childhood, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, or muscular dystrophy.
• Neuropsychiatric disabilities in combination with intellectual disabilities
• Acquired brain injury with permanent cognitive impairment equivalent to intellectual disabilities

Your profile

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with a genuine interest in and preferably experience working with the target groups of the habilitation center. We are looking for someone who wants to work on complex and challenging tasks within child and youth habilitation. Your contribution as a psychologist is very significant for those we meet.

As travel is included in the position, a valid driver's license (B) is required.

As an employee at the habilitation center, you actively contribute to development and improvement efforts in the workplace and are part of creating conditions for as independent a life as possible for people with disabilities.

You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge based on their conditions and communicate clearly and effectively. You have strong planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills and can adapt to changing circumstances.

The position is permanent and full-time. Start date is 2025-08-11 or by agreement.
