Student Assistant Position in the Health and Care Administration

The position is located within the Health and Care Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health care, regulatory activities, ordering services, and provides care and support on its own. Your Responsibilities

As a student assistant, you are offered an opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into practice and gain valuable work experience. Our workplaces also benefit from new perspectives and research through your input. You will have a personal supervisor during your time as a student assistant, and together we will establish a plan based on your conditions that does not hinder your studies.

We are now looking for two engaged student assistants to support the development of data analysis and forecasting work within elderly care in Linköping Municipality.

As a student assistant, you will work in a small team alongside development leaders with the task of developing systematic approaches and understanding data collection, analysis, and forecasts within elderly care. The assignment includes developing quantitative data as well as understanding and analyzing results and analyses. Your tasks will also include contributing to the development of comparative analyses of resource efficiency and building on forecasting work by introducing models and scenarios. The assignment is multifaceted and may also involve supporting other development assignments and projects.

Your Workplace

The Health and Care Administration annually provides care for approximately 4,100 citizens, of which about 1,350 live in some form of special accommodation, such as care housing focused on dementia, and about 2,800 receive some form of home care. Within the Health and Care Administration, we have about 1,500 employees.

This position is located in the unit for needs planning and digitalization within the Planning and Development department. The unit primarily employs development leaders who work on various assignments. The department's mission is to develop effective methods and approaches and ensure that work is organized in safe and appropriate processes according to current legislation and the possibilities of digitalization.

Our premises are centrally located at Repslagaregatan 6 in Linköping.

Who You Are

Linköping Municipality collaborates with other municipalities and several municipal companies in the region regarding student assistants. The concept is an agreement between all municipalities and Linköping University. To be employed as a student assistant, you must begin your final year of a bachelor's, master's, or equivalent degree program.

We are therefore looking for you who will start your final year in HT-25 in a bachelor's, master's, or equivalent degree program in Social Sciences, Social Work, Economics, or a similar higher education that the employer deems equivalent.

For the assignment, it is required that you have an interest in working with analysis and forecasting. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with data analysis and forecasting as well as experience in data collection. We also see it as advantageous if you have experience working in elderly care or other activities within health and care. Since the position involves participating in and drafting your own written materials, you should have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

We see that you have the ability to plan and organize work effectively and that you are good at handling complex issues. You bring new ideas and approaches to work-related issues, with innovative thinking that can be put into practice. Furthermore, you work well with others and can adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient.
