The Jämtland Gymnasium Federation is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's seven schools are located in nature and mountain-adjacent environments spread across five municipalities – Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Description

We are looking for a vocational teacher for our hairdressing program at Jämtlands Vux.

The position is 100% and permanent, starting August 11, 2025.

Your Future Responsibilities

You will be responsible for teaching and related administrative tasks. You will teach adult students in both theory and practice within the hairdressing profession. The role may also include some marketing work.

Who Are You?

You are a trained hairdressing teacher with a strong interest in sharing your professional knowledge. It is an advantage if you have worked in the hairdressing industry and have teaching experience.

You are confident in your role as a teacher, work professionally, and find it easy to build good relationships with students. You actively contribute to collegial collaboration and enjoy working in a team.

Additionally, you have a good understanding of the documentation and assessment involved in the role and use digital tools naturally. You collaborate easily and contribute to a positive and developing work environment. Personal suitability is highly valued.

You will have primary responsibility for the hairdressing program within adult education but will work closely with subject colleagues in the upper secondary hairdressing program.
