We are now looking for a driven and experienced Account Manager with a good business sense who actively wants to contribute to our continued growth and strengthen our market position further. You will work from a home office and be responsible for your district, Stockholm and surrounding areas (Stockholm, Uppsala, Västmanland, Värmland, Örebro, and Östergötland).
ABENA was founded in 1953 and the company originally started as a small supplier in Aabenraa, Denmark, with a modest product range. Today, the Danish family-owned group operates in 11 countries, has more than 2,000 employees, is found in more than 90 different markets around the world, and offers a very wide product range. We at ABENA AB in Sweden have offices and warehouses in both Växjö and Kisa. We have about 150 employees in total. In Kisa, we also have our production facility, where we develop and manufacture/convert disposable products made of paper and plastic, primarily used in hygiene and care areas.
ABENA AB is also responsible for sales and marketing of primarily care-related products, but also consumables such as protective clothing, gloves, waste management, disposable and catering products, hygiene paper, and cleaning agents. Our customers are mainly found within health and medical care in the public sector, as well as among wholesalers, retailers, industry, and several other sectors. We are an expanding company that successfully combines its size-related strengths with the advantages of a family-owned business, such as short decision-making paths and flexibility, to best respond to market needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
As an Account Manager in our Supplies business area, you will be responsible for systematically building and developing both new and existing business relationships. You will primarily work with resellers and wholesalers across a broad spectrum of industries.
Your main tasks include:
- Structuring and processing both existing customers and prospects within your district, with a particular focus on new customer acquisition and ABENA's total product range. The goal is to actively identify, develop, and build long-term relationships while following established goals and budgets.
- Leading the sales process from initial contact to quote, negotiation, and final contract signing.
- Ensuring that sales plans are updated, relevant, and aligned with the company's goals and strategy.
- Responsible for continuously updating the sales support program for your customers and district, ensuring that all information is correct and current.
- Planning and executing marketing activities such as trade shows, seminars, and training days together with the Sales Manager to strengthen the brand and increase visibility.
Your Profile:
We are looking for someone with a strong business sense, results-oriented, and driven by a great personal commitment. You are outgoing, curious, and have a genuine interest in your surroundings. You are ambitious and have a strong desire to constantly learn and develop. It is important for us that you are responsive to market signals, goal-oriented, and have a strong drive to create new business.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have documented experience in sales, preferably with resellers and wholesalers, as well as good negotiation skills. Experience and product knowledge from the industry are advantageous. You are accustomed to using Excel and business systems to effectively manage and analyze customer data, which is crucial for building and nurturing long-term customer relationships. Your ability to successfully drive business will be key to creating strong relationships and achieving good results.
You have at least a high school education, and post-secondary education or a university degree in a relevant field, such as economics or marketing, is advantageous. We place great importance on your communication skills, both in Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form.
Travel days are included in the position, both day trips and overnight stays. This may occur during marketing activities such as trade shows and seminars, as well as during sales activities, training, and sales meetings in other locations.
