JOB DESCRIPTION

As a special teacher, you will work integrated with the teacher in the classroom, in smaller groups, and with individual students in grades F-2. Your main task is to work with students in need of special support. This is done through teaching and close work with our students. You will also support teachers regarding what adjustments can be made in the classroom.

You will be part of the student health team and collaborate with other professionals within student health and teachers to find opportunities for learning within the framework of teaching. As part of student health, you will provide consultative guidance to other educators and the entire team through close collaboration. Another part of the role involves participating in the work with assessment materials and screenings of students' abilities in core subjects.

One of our strengths is that we have a school nurse, school psychologist, two special educators, several special teachers, and a counselor working full-time with us, who together with the school management form student health. As a special teacher with us, you will have four special teacher colleagues to collaborate with. We have a close collaboration with preventive social workers who are visible in our operations on a daily basis. We work together, fully utilizing each other's knowledge and competencies, and contribute to the work that needs to be done. Together, we form a whole that is important for our students' safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you who are applying have a special teacher degree or are in the process of completing your studies shortly. To proceed in the recruitment process, you also need to be qualified for grades 1-6. You have taught according to the applicable curriculum. If you have experience supporting and guiding colleagues, that is a plus. Your knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is very good, and you are comfortable using IT in your teaching.

We place great importance on personal qualities and see that you are a leader who can adapt your leadership in the classroom and can plan and follow up on your work. You have an easy time communicating with both adults and children. We believe that you want to develop in your role as a teacher and contribute to the school's continued development. You are an engaged employee with good collaboration skills who can build trust and listen to various needs.
