About the position

We are now looking for a nurse to join our nursing team. We offer you as a nurse a varied and developing job. Your main tasks will be psychiatric care and follow-up of patients with ongoing medication. The work also includes providing information, advice, and support to children and adolescents and their parents. The job requires close collaboration with doctors as well as with other team members to create safe and cohesive care for the patient. Together with the other nurses at the clinic, you are an expert in your field and contribute your knowledge to patient care and the team. Collaboration with healthcare neighbors, schools, and social services is an important part of the job.

The clinic is well-functioning and has an established structure that allows for a high degree of independent work. You will receive support in your work through our team conferences, consultation time with our specialist doctors, and regular collegial and external supervision.

Who are we?

The psychiatry in Halland is responsible for all publicly driven specialist psychiatry within the region. This includes services for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care. Psychiatry Halland has about 650 employees and services in all municipalities of the region. Psychiatry is led by an administrative manager, operational managers, and department heads. Our motto is: “Psychiatry Halland – in constant improvement”.

BUP Varberg is a well-functioning clinic with good treatment results and high patient satisfaction. Our team consists of about 25 employees with a wide range of experiences and competencies. Here, psychologists, doctors, social workers, nurses, medical secretaries, special educators, and occupational therapists work together around the needs of the patient.

We work closely with research using evidence-based methods and guidelines. We have high ambitions and actively work to improve, including through quality follow-ups of all our patients.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a commitment and interest in our target group and want to contribute to good care for the children and adolescents who need our services. We prefer that you have experience working with children and young people and their parents. Further education in psychiatry or other relevant further education is an advantage. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a prerequisite for fulfilling the assignment, as well as good computer skills.

You thrive in a stimulating work environment that demands flexibility and problem-solving ability. You have a good ability to create well-functioning cross-professional relationships and adapt your approach based on the patient's needs.
