Ängskolan is looking for a Science Teacher

Ängskolan, with approximately 1100 students, is a municipal F-9 school located in central Sundbyberg, close to nature and with good transport links. As a Science teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching in your subjects based on the curriculum, in collaboration with other colleagues at the school.

Your responsibilities also include documentation and assessment of students' learning, as well as follow-up and analysis of results to improve students' goal achievement. Mentorship alongside a colleague is included in the position.

With your solution-focused approach, you have a positive attitude and see it as your responsibility to create good and sustainable relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You have good knowledge of NPF and understand that adapting teaching and the learning environment for NPF is beneficial for all students. You identify strengths and build on the successful aspects of each student. With an inclusive approach and the ability to see students' different needs and individual conditions, the opportunities for everyone to feel joy in work and succeed in school are maximized.

As the class leader and a good role model, you are flexible, enjoy structure, are full of ideas, and see every interaction with students as an opportunity. You have good collaboration skills, are proactive, and have a holistic view for each student.

We prefer that you have a teaching license and qualifications to teach students in grades 7-9. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working as a teacher in the relevant grades. You are accustomed to using digital tools such as Google Drive and Google Classroom.

The position is a temporary contract for the school year 25/26 starting on August 12, 2025. Application deadline: April 30, 2025.
