Data Engineer at the Financial Supervisory Authority

About the Job

As a data engineer in the Data and Analytics Platforms department, you will participate in building and maintaining new analytics platforms, focusing on data governance as well as reference and master data management. Together with your team, you will be responsible for building and implementing scalable and reusable solutions for data flows and integrations related to reference data, as well as providing solutions for data catalogs, quality control, access management, and data quality. The work is done in close collaboration with the business and other data teams. Since we are on a transformation journey, you need to be open to new perspectives and technologies and be positive about testing new approaches to working with data. You should also enjoy programming data flows and have a passion for data and information.

You will work alongside other competencies within FI, collaborating in cross-functional teams. You recognize yourself in our values where we are engaged, determined, goal-oriented, and helpful.

Your Education and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

has good knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, CI/CD, and automation
can program flows that clean and compile data
has experience developing data pipelines to data lakes
has experience developing data pipelines to databases
has experience with Docker/Kubernetes or other container solutions
has experience in data warehouse/lakehouse development and BI solutions
has worked as a data engineer, data scientist, or BI developer
has very good knowledge of Python
has good knowledge of SQL
has good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
expresses themselves well in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you:

have very good knowledge of SQL
have experience working with reference or master data
have experience in data governance work such as data catalog, lineage, data quality solutions, and access management
have experience with pseudonymization/masking solutions
have experience with AWS S3/MinIo, Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg both on-prem and in the cloud
have experience with data lakes on-prem
have experience from the public and/or financial sector
are educated as a university or civil engineer in data or technology, or a systems scientist or in another technical subject area.
