Description

We are looking for an engaged special teacher/teacher for our adapted school in Essunga municipality, preferably with experience in this type of school.

The education sector is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted school, and cultural school. We work together for a learning environment where children, students, and staff succeed. Our common vision is that all students should become winners in their own lives according to their circumstances.

Here you will have the opportunity to work in an environment where each student's needs are in focus and where you have a central role in promoting their development and learning. We are a small unit with several student assistants and a support teacher and are now looking for a special teacher/teacher to lead and develop the work. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching for a smaller group of students. Currently, all our students are studying subject areas.

Responsibilities

As a teacher in an adapted school with us at Essunga municipality, you will play a crucial role in creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for our students. Based on the curriculum, you choose methods, content, and approach based on each student's knowledge, experiences, specific circumstances, and needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing individual development plans based on each student's needs and circumstances.
• Creating and maintaining a safe and positive classroom environment where all students feel valued and seen.
• Collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to ensure a holistic view of the student's development.
• Supporting and motivating students to work independently and responsibly in their learning.
• Implementing flexible teaching methods and adaptations to promote learning among different student groups.
• Following up and evaluating students' progress and adjusting interventions as needed.

Qualifications

You are a licensed teacher, preferably with qualifications as a special teacher. We would like you to have experience in adapted schools, students with NPF, and low-arousal responses. We are looking for an engaged teacher with a strong sense of adapted teaching. As an ideal candidate, you are independent and enjoy taking initiative in your work, while being flexible enough to adapt to each student's unique needs. You have the ability to see the whole picture in teaching and motivate your students to learn by creating a structured and inspiring learning environment.

Other

Upon employment, we will require a background check. This is according to the law on background checks in preschool activities, school, and childcare (SFS 2000:873). A teaching license is a requirement for a permanent position.
