Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include working based on the school's governing documents (the Education Act and Lgr 22) together with teaching colleagues. Furthermore, you have your own responsibility for planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of the teaching you conduct. You participate in the analysis and development of the school operations together with other teachers and school management. Mentorship is included in the assignment. You will teach grades 7 and 8 in the upcoming school year. Instruction will take place in social studies, religion, history, and geography.

The position is permanent. Start date is August 11. The position's scope is 60%, possibly larger if we can combine it with another subject qualification. For the school year 26/27, the position will be expanded to 80%. We apply individual salary setting.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is certified in one or more of the social studies subjects for grades 7-9.

As a person, you are proactive, structured, and quality-conscious. You have a good ability to collaborate with both colleagues and students as well as guardians. This means that you involve students in the pedagogical planning work and keep guardians well informed about the students' school situation.

You have the ability to develop the operations together with other staff based on the goals for primary school. You come with suggestions and actively participate in the collegial dialogue. You have a professional approach and are flexible. This means that you know in which forums to raise issues and see solutions by making your own changes and are open to others' suggestions and solutions. Furthermore, you are a good role model for the students and have a good attitude towards the guardians.

About the Workplace

Sammilsdalskolan is a K-9 school with just over 600 students. In grades K-6, there are 150 students distributed across one class per grade, while in the upper grades, there are 450 students in six parallel classes. We use Google's platforms with the students and Teams among the staff. Currently, about 50 students attend the after-school program. We work according to a language, reading, and writing plan in all schools in the municipality. This initiative is reflected in all subjects of the school and not just in Swedish.
