Daily activities are part of Support and Service in Krokom Municipality and consist of several different units. The goal of the operation is to promote individuals' personal development and thereby strengthen their opportunity for greater participation in society. We do this by offering meaningful employment, development, and community based on individual needs and wishes. All of this is based on LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) and the Social Services Act.

The Social Administration consists of 600 employees where the breadth of the assignment is extensive. The administration is divided into five operational areas and is present throughout the municipality. Here, we are responsible for providing care and support, assistance and service, as well as health and medical care to citizens of the municipality who need it, at all stages of life.

A Day as a Work Supervisor in Daily Activities

We are now looking for a permanent work supervisor for daily activities to replace employees who are retiring and to meet future needs.

The individuals in daily activities have different conditions and face various challenges, difficulties, and opportunities. As a work supervisor, your task is to support individuals in their daily activities through a pedagogical approach and a low-arousal response. The work within Krokom Municipality's daily activities consists of both motivating and structuring tasks, care work, and above all, a focus on the individuals' respective needs. A total of about 17 work supervisors work within the operation, distributed across several smaller units, and it is of great importance to be able to collaborate and together plan the work in an efficient and healthy way.

Within daily activities, we create, among other things, individual schedules, checklists, and above all, implementation plans based on the individual's needs at the center (IBIC) to support the person's own abilities and to work on maintaining and developing skills.

A large part of the work supervisors' assignment also consists of developing suitable work tasks for individuals, and since daily activities are changeable, you need to have a creative view of your role and be prepared for the group and assignments to change based on the individuals who come to us. Daily activities can consist of various forms of activities.

The work requires that you have a good approach, good collaboration skills, are open to changes, have a reflective attitude, and that you work according to agreed goals. We place great importance on your ability to adapt tasks and activities based on the individual's own abilities.

You listen, communicate, and solve different situations constructively, which leads to you creating trust and good collaboration. In the group, you create engagement and participation by inspiring joy in work and demonstrating good examples.

You have the ability to work independently, have a strong sense of responsibility, take your own initiatives, and have a commitment and openness to development work within the operation.

Your Competence

To succeed in the role, it is preferable that you have education equivalent to a nursing assistant, support pedagogue, social pedagogue, basic pedagogical education, or equivalent, as well as experience working with disabilities.

Experience and knowledge of working with clarifying pedagogy, problem-causing behavior, digital solutions, and aids are meritorious.

It is also meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of people with physical and mental disabilities. Relevant areas may include intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, mental health issues, addiction problems, aging, and dementia diseases.

Communication and documentation are central and important parts of the operation, so a prerequisite is good knowledge of the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing.

Computer skills and a B driver's license are required.

Permanent employment at 100% with immediate start according to agreement.
