Liljeforsskolan is a K-5 school with approximately 320 students and 50 staff members. The school is located among residential buildings in the Gränby area. It is surrounded by beautiful playgrounds and parks. The school is characterized by multilingualism and diversity, with around 30 different languages spoken among the students.

As a teacher in after-school care with qualifications in physical education, you will be working at the school's after-school program. You will also teach physical education in some of the school's grade levels. You will plan the teaching together with the school's experienced and skilled physical education teachers.

Your assignment

As a teacher in after-school care, you will be responsible for and develop our after-school activities together with colleagues by participating in the development of methods and pedagogy at the after-school program. This includes conducting educational activities both outdoors and indoors. You are expected to contribute your pedagogical knowledge based on the after-school program's compensatory mission and drive pedagogical development to ensure meaningful content in after-school care.

The position also includes teaching physical education and health, and you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching in some of the school's grade levels. You will co-plan lessons, outdoor days, and other activities together with the school's physical education teachers.

Your background

We are looking for someone who has a Swedish teaching certification with qualifications for after-school care and the ability to teach physical education. If you have qualifications to teach any other subjects at the school, that is an advantage. To succeed in this role, you should have experience working in after-school care and teaching physical education. A good understanding of the school's and after-school program's governing documents as well as the elementary school's curriculum is a requirement. Experience working in a multilingual environment and with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) is an advantage. The work requires good oral and written skills in the Swedish language.

As a person, you have strong pedagogical abilities and an understanding of students' different conditions for acquiring knowledge. You are flexible and have the ability to see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you take initiative and start activities to achieve results. Last but not least, you are a person with good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
