Chief Physician for Adult Psychiatry's Inpatient Care in Halland

Do you want to join us in the continued development of Inpatient Care? We are now looking for a chief physician for adult psychiatry's inpatient care in Halland.

Your Mission

You will serve as the chief physician and deputy medical manager at the clinic level and have close collaboration with the medical team, management group, and other staff at both locations.

You will work closely with the operations manager and deputy operations manager. You can choose to be based at one of the locations, but the job will require presence at both locations.

You will support your physician colleagues but also act to keep the staff's knowledge about involuntary care up to date. The work requires you to stay informed and enjoy sharing your experience with colleagues and employees. You will participate in the clinic's overall medical work with routines and deviations. You will also be part of the management group and are expected to contribute actively to development work.

Your professional development is important and will be planned together with the operations manager. Participation in our on-call line is included in the work.

About the Workplace

We are a clinic where we care for and support each other. Over the years, we have invested in internal training and supervision for our residents and junior doctors, which has resulted in a high ranking in the residency program, something we are very proud of! We are also proud that patients rated us highly in the latest national patient survey.

The clinic is divided into two locations, Halmstad and Varberg. In Halmstad, there are three wards, and in Varberg, there are four wards. These are directed towards different diagnostic groups such as psychotic disorders, addiction, and affective disorders. There is a psychiatric intensive care unit at each location. In Varberg, there is also our forensic psychiatric clinic with two wards and a forensic psychiatric outpatient team. In addition, there is a LARO clinic and an ECT clinic associated with the clinic.

Currently, several senior physicians with many years of experience and several residents and junior doctors work in the psychiatric inpatient care.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in psychiatry and good knowledge of involuntary care law. You should be interested in working with development issues and have a broad psychiatric interest. As a person, you are goal-oriented and structured in your work approach. Furthermore, you have good leadership qualities and the ability to communicate your clinical assessments and decisions effectively.

Your clinical experience is a natural guiding star for you in your work, and you have an open attitude and enjoy collaborating with others.

We believe in good teamwork where collaboration between our different professions contributes to a positive atmosphere and a professional approach to our residents. Interest in educational issues and pedagogical engagement is a plus. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
