Job Description

AFRY Process Industries has a multidisciplinary section in Malmö & Helsingborg focused on expanding AFRY's operations within the Process Industry in Skåne - Join our team!

To strengthen our investment in Skåne, we need to expand our operations with Senior Automation Engineers. Since we have established the section, you as an employee will have the opportunity to contribute and shape a winning team from the ground up!

You will work on various types of projects and assignments within the Process Industry, which will be guided by your expertise, the client's needs, and your personal ambition and development plan. You will work with:

• Feasibility studies
• Cost calculations
• Development of technical descriptions
• Programming and system design of control systems, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Programming of software, often with communication of various kinds to control systems, databases, or higher-level SCADA systems.
• Simulation/emulations for control systems and handling of architecture.
• Testing, commissioning, and training.

In your role as a Senior Automation Engineer, you will support the development of the automation group and have a significant impact on shaping the group in close collaboration with the section manager. You will also assist in building the automation group and selling new solutions to clients. Other areas of work include actively participating in our projects both internally and externally at the client's site.

As an employee with us, you will either work on-site at the client's project organization or be part of one of our in-house projects based at our offices in Malmö or Helsingborg. We in the segment are in an exciting phase - therefore, we are now looking for more engaged employees to develop the business to take on more and larger commitments within the process industry!

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience in automation, industrial control systems such as PLC/DCS/SCADA, or industrial IT/OT with a focus on system applications.
• Experience and knowledge of ABB 800xA/ Siemens system platform or similar.
• Previous experience in project execution from investigation to implementation.
• A driver's license as travel and client visits are part of the job.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.

We would prefer if you have your experience within petrochemicals, oil/gas, and refining, but also within paper/pulp or energy as many of our assignments currently exist within these industries.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with programming within another DCS control system, for example: Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion. Previous experience in Safety (SIL), electrical, instrumentation, and field design is also meritorious.

You will belong to AFRY's division Process Industries and work in the segment Local Projects & Engineering South, which extends from Malmö to Lysekil. We already have a very strong foothold on the west coast and are driving several large projects within the process industry with project total commitments and services in areas such as Project Management, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechanics, Piping, Health and Safety, and HVAC.
