About the position

Are you a driven and committed nursing assistant who wants to be involved in creating a meaningful everyday life for our elderly? We are currently looking for a nursing assistant who wants to become a part of us at Granbacken.

Granbacken is a group home for individuals with diagnosed dementia. Our goal is to meet each other with respect, joy, and individually tailored care for each person. In 2023, Granbacken was awarded the Star Marking. The training model Star Marked has been developed by the Swedish Dementia Center and aims to provide staff with knowledge and tools to develop person-centered care work at their workplace. Since August 2023, Granbacken has been strengthened with two nursing assistants with specialized skills in dementia.

The position and responsibilities

In the role of nursing assistant, you convey security and ensure that each individual is seen in all interactions. This involves care and compassion, as well as interest, engagement, and attentiveness to the individual. Our work is based on each individual's needs and wishes.

You will be part of a team with a manager, team leader, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, and work in accordance with the Social Services Act. Tasks are also performed according to the Health and Medical Services Act, after delegation from a nurse.

Granbacken actively works with national quality registers Senior Alert and behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia, BPSD, to systematically and continuously develop and secure the quality for each individual.

Your responsibilities also include case management, social and physical activities with our clients, and participation in workplace meetings. We actively work with representative roles in various areas to increase the quality of the operations and to give you as an employee the opportunity to develop your skills.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant. We seek someone who promotes a good working environment and finds solutions in everyday life. You always have the client's needs in focus. You enjoy working in a team but can also work independently. Your work includes communication and documentation, so it is important that you master Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as having basic knowledge of IT tools for social documentation. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Previous work experience in a residence for individuals with dementia diagnosis is an advantage.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
