Ängås School is a F-9 school with approximately 500 students. At Ängås School, there are good digital conditions for staff and students. We have smartboards in all classrooms. From year 3, students receive their own Chromebook, and for younger students, there is good access to various digital tools (Chromebooks and iPads).

In grades F-3, we work with outdoor education and see many benefits in having lessons outside where students can use all their senses during class time. We also organize activities for students during lunch breaks based on the pedagogical approach R.A.S.T. This is managed by our after-school staff. In recent years, we have also implemented the value-based work PALS throughout the school. In this work, all employees are involved – for the students' best interests.

Your responsibilities

You will work both in the classroom and in the after-school program. This means you need to be confident in planning your own projects and themes, as well as taking responsibility for the department's planning together with colleagues. You will collaborate with the teacher in the class and be active in the overall planning for all after-school programs at the school. You will also contribute to the systematic quality work at the unit, which includes planning, implementation, follow-up, and analysis. You will become part of the after-school team and, together with us, offer students R.A.S.T. activities.

About you

It is desirable that you are a licensed after-school educator or teacher and have good knowledge of the curriculum's content and goals – both in theory and practice. You are independent, responsible, and confident in working alone with groups of children. At the same time, you are a team player who shows respect for colleagues, shares your knowledge, and learns from others. We work under the motto “All children are everyone's children,” and we hope you share our view on this.
