The Municipal Executive Administration is the administration of the municipal council. Here, about 100 employees work in finance and procurement, communication, IT, administration, business, tourism, HR, payroll, switchboard, security, and law.
The Municipal Executive Administration is centrally located in Ystad.
The Payroll Unit in Ystad Municipality is a team with a common mission: Payroll management, pension administration, and system management.
In our team, there is experience at different levels, which creates a wonderful mix and energy, where experience is combined with new thoughts and ideas. Many years of experience also mean that in 2025 we will be affected by several retirements and need new colleagues.
Our focus right now is on internal development of work methods and a journey towards an upgrade to Payroll Unit 3.0. This means that you as a new employee will be involved from the start of this journey and can contribute to our common development moving forward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Payroll Unit manages a total of about 5000 salaries and currently consists of 10 payroll consultants and a payroll manager, and we belong to the department of competence and leadership together with HR.
Our recipients for payroll management are Ystad Municipality, Tomelilla Municipality, SÖRF (Southeast Skåne Rescue Service Association), Ystad-Österlen Environmental Association, Ystad Theatre, Y-Tornet, and Ystad Saltsjöbad, contractors, and elected representatives.
We are system managers of the payroll system Visma Personec P and the scheduling and staffing system Time Care/RLDatix.
Recipients for our pension administration are Ystad Municipality, Tomelilla Municipality, Simrishamn Municipality, SÖRF (Southeast Skåne Rescue Service Association), Ystad-Österlen Environmental Association.

Our change journey will mean that the team will fundamentally consist of payroll consultants who will then have different focuses such as system support/management, front office/support/case management, back office/administration, development/training, and pension administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
We want you to have education in the area of payroll management or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer, and have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you are familiar with the payroll system Visma Personec P and the scheduling/staffing system Time Care.
Since one of the roles will focus on pension administration, it is an advantage if you have experience in this area or have a burning interest in developing knowledge in the field.
We consult both municipalities and private companies, which means that we work with several agreement areas; it is positive if you have worked with these agreements before.
We are a common support function for managers and employees, and our role means being a consultative support and help for self-help. The position therefore involves many contacts, solving problems, and offering professional service.
As a person, you are meticulous, communicative, solution-focused, and have the ability to independently structure your workday. Thanks to these qualities, you have the ability to maintain focus and service orientation during periods of high workload. You see what needs to be done, make things happen, and understand the importance of sharing information with your colleagues. For you to thrive, it is a prerequisite that you are open and enjoy working in a team.
