About the position
Svenska kraftnät is a key player in the energy transition. Our IT division is growing to enable a doubled electricity production and a fossil-free future. With the latest technology, we are increasing both the capacity of the infrastructure and the pace of development within digitalization and processes.
We are looking for someone who wants to manage and develop one of Sweden's most important systems, a large and complex SCADA/EMS system used to control, monitor, and optimize the operation of the transmission grid. The system collects and stores data from measurement points in the transmission grid, which is used for alarms, analysis, simulation, and network modeling, as well as to identify faults and prevent unplanned outages.
Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring that changes in the systems do not affect performance or existing functions by identifying, analyzing, and addressing vulnerabilities and risks within IT security. You will lead incident and problem investigations to ensure the reliability of the systems. The work primarily takes place in a Linux environment.
In this role, you will be involved in designing, further developing, and managing systems and technical solutions that place high demands on availability and IT security.
You will belong to a unit within the IT department for power systems and electricity markets. The unit's primary responsibility is to manage and develop one of Sweden's most important systems, a large and complex SCADA/EMS system used in the control room to control, monitor, and optimize the operation of the transmission grid.
In the future, much is happening within the unit regarding renewal and the introduction of a new operational monitoring system as well as new working methods. This gives you a unique opportunity to help ensure that Sweden shines tomorrow as well.
The work environment is challenging and stimulating, with a focus on innovation and technical development. We offer great opportunities for personal and professional development through training and certifications.
