Our high-tech client in Trollhättan is currently in an exciting and high-expansion phase and needs support from a systems engineer in the field of aircraft engines. The department where the assignment will take place primarily works with product-supporting activities related to jet engines but also engages in development and upgrades. A large part of the operations is focused on JAS 39 Gripen engines, but stationary gas turbines and the development of next-generation engine concepts are also included in the operations.
They now wish to strengthen their team that works with various subsystems to the engine, such as fuel systems, oil systems, etc.
Typical tasks included in this role are primarily:
- Support troubleshooting, problem-solving, and investigative work related to the use of engines in service or during maintenance/testing
- Participate in product development from concept (including engine testing) to implementation
- Technology development/concept development related to future engine concepts, propulsion systems, or further electrification of existing engines
- You will have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with customers, end-users, and other partners
- Part of the job is to broaden your knowledge within your area of responsibility at both component and system levels
- The role will be adapted to the candidate's skills and experience
The team works closely with the product and its maintenance, providing good opportunities to participate in testing and other maintenance activities.

Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we expect the following from you:
- University degree in mechanical engineering, technical physics, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- As a person, you are well-organized and structured, driven, meticulous, and positive
- You are also curious and interested in learning and building competence in our areas of expertise
- Furthermore, we believe you are a team player with a humble approach
- Travel may be required, primarily within Sweden but also internationally
Meritorious
- Previous experience from work in the aerospace industry or from working with fuel systems, oil systems, hydromechanical and electrical devices (pumps, regulators, FADEC, etc.).
- Experience and knowledge in bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pump technology are also meritorious.
The position requires that the candidate undergoes and is approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For certain positions, this may involve requirements for specific citizenship. Background checks and drug tests are also required before filling the role.
