We are currently looking for several designers for all our locations: Gällivare/Malmberget, Kiruna, and Luleå.

Your responsibilities

You will be part of a team with motivated employees from the entire production chain with extensive experience in the industry. The position as a designer at LKAB Mekaniska involves, in addition to product development and product maintenance, being involved in the development of customer-specific design solutions and providing technical support to our internal workshop. Work is primarily done towards LKAB's production facilities at all locations, focusing on the ore fields.

The culture within the group is characterized by growing together. Time is prioritized to continuously evaluate working methods and develop the group. We prioritize presence at the customer's facilities as part of creating solutions that match customer needs.

Who are you?

To thrive in the role, you are flexible and can easily switch between and manage different types of perspectives – from overarching questions to detailed problem-solving. You have an engineering degree with a mechanical engineering focus or equivalent experience. Furthermore, you have knowledge regarding mechanical design and strength calculations.

You see the value of being physically present at the customer's facilities to increase understanding of our deliveries and the customer's needs. You enjoy creating contacts and long-term relationships. You are responsible and thrive in an open climate where teamwork is emphasized, and we help and develop each other's skills.

The position requires a B driver's license.
