Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us as we tailor our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.
Are you a licensed physician planning to start your residency in general medicine soon? For you as a licensed physician, we offer a full-time temporary position with educational benefits and the possibility of a future residency position.
We focus on secure employment and good benefit packages through our collective agreement. Read more about our benefits here (link (https://www.regionuppsala.se/Global/Jobba%20hos%20oss/karri%C3%A4rwebben/F%C3%B6rm%C3%A5nsbroschyr%20Region%20Uppsala_2019.pdf)).
In addition to your individual development plan, we also have regular district doctor days where all primary care physicians receive further education. This means you will be part of a large network of knowledgeable colleagues.
Your mission
In the role of a licensed physician, you will work closely with all professions at the health center. Your tasks will consist of outpatient work with varied responsibilities. Some on-call duty may also be included.
In addition to the usual tasks of a licensed physician, you will also have the opportunity to start preparing for your residency training. You will be offered supervision, study time at the workplace, and the chance to participate in residency seminars. Your working hours can be credited towards any future residency training.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license, preferably with experience in primary care and a future interest in developing within general medicine. You possess a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written, have a good understanding of the Swedish healthcare system, and see good communication as one of your most important tools in patient interactions. Furthermore, you have a desire to develop the operations together with other employees at the health center.

All professional areas are represented here, and together we offer all services within the health center's mission. All professions work closely together to provide the best possible care, and you could become part of our team!
Together, we have 9,000 registered patients, and we are 38 employees offering most services within primary care, including well-functioning nurse-led clinics. At the health center, we work to provide our patients with the best possible care. We value a good and stimulating work environment with personalized solutions.
