For our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy sector, we are now looking for a Certification Engineer for an assignment at their site in Finspång. Thanks to high-tech and innovative product development, the company is an established partner in the energy sector, delivering advanced and sustainable solutions for the current and future needs of the market. Through this assignment, you will have the opportunity to work in an international and forward-thinking environment with many development opportunities. This is initially a consulting assignment for 12 months via Unik Resurs with a very good possibility of extension. We apply continuous selection, which means that the assignment may be filled before the application deadline.

Responsibilities and Duties

Depending on where our gas turbines are sold and what they are used for, there may be certification requirements for our products or parts of our deliveries. The role involves identifying applicable regulations and certification requirements, and in close collaboration with engineering, ensuring that these requirements are included in our procurement documents and internal manufacturing processes. You will also be responsible for following up contact with certification bodies and compiling certificates and documentation. Among other things, you will:

Review contracts to identify local regulations and certification requirements and document these.
Plan and document all activities required to meet certification requirements/local regulations.
Develop and communicate certification plans and strategies for our delivery projects.
Update quality plans.
Collaborate with authorities and certification bodies such as DNV and Bureau Veritas.
Coordinate the work within the project team to obtain necessary documentation for approvals.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and has a good understanding of technical regulations. You find it easy to understand standards and enjoy working cross-functionally with both internal and external parties. You thrive in a role where details are important - but where the overall perspective is always present. To succeed in the role, we believe you need the following background:

Knowledge in contract reading
Experience in quality work
Engineering degree in mechanics or electrical
Structured and meticulous
Understanding and experience in reading and interpreting standards

Meritorious:

Experience or knowledge of how certification bodies operate
