Procurement Coordinator
Do you want to utilize your skills as a procurement coordinator to secure Sweden's national security? At the Swedish Armed Forces, you will have an important role where your work makes a difference every day.
About the Unit
The Swedish Armed Forces' procurement unit is located within the FMLOG (Swedish Armed Forces Logistics) and is responsible for the Armed Forces' procurements and purchases in accordance with applicable procurement legislation. The work we carry out is crucial for the Armed Forces' supply as well as strategic and operational success. We work according to a well-established category management methodology.
The procurement unit consists of seven departments geographically spread across Sweden. We are now looking for a procurement coordinator for our Workplace Services department. We are unpretentious, helpful, and value mutual trust. Our daily work is characterized by continuous competence development while we recognize the importance of well-being and balance – therefore, we apply flexible working hours and have the opportunity for training three hours a week during work hours.
Main Responsibilities
As a Procurement Coordinator, you will work with procurement management and coordination as well as follow-up and improvement measures related to goals and key figures within assigned categories. In the role, you will functionally manage assigned purchasers who utilize the Armed Forces' existing agreements and will also be the contact person for certain designated units. The work is carried out throughout the procurement process from strategic to operational purchasing, where you are responsible for ensuring that routines and guidelines are followed. Part of your daily routine will involve continuous dialogue with our internal customers within the Armed Forces regarding agreements, instructions, and procurement systems. You will also be in contact with our suppliers and work together with our strategic purchasers to manage ongoing follow-up, analysis, and development of our agreements. You will also be part of our internal training pool and will regularly conduct training in the procurement area within the Armed Forces.
Qualifications
Experience and knowledge required for the position include:
- Relevant academic education, vocational training with a commercial focus, or equivalent knowledge gained from relevant work experience
- Very good knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English

You thrive on working with multiple tasks simultaneously and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You also have good analytical skills and can draw conclusions and develop improvement proposals based on available data. You plan and structure your work well to achieve set goals within specified time frames. The role also requires a service-oriented mindset and a willingness to help others deliver solutions that lead to results. We place great emphasis on personal attributes.
Meritorious Qualifications
It is advantageous if you have any of the following experiences:
- Category-managed procurement work
- Knowledge of LOU and/or LUFS
- Experience with contract follow-up
- Experience in conducting training

Start date as soon as possible by agreement. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Boden and work is conducted on-site. Work samples may be required during the recruitment process.
