Our environmental unit has a total of 12 positions. Our employees are competent and service-oriented. The work is flexible with the opportunity to influence. Our mission is to supervise and handle cases within environmental and health protection, food, and alcohol/tobacco. We aim to perform our work professionally. The environmental unit is part of the Community Planning Department, which also includes the Planning and Building Unit, the Rescue Service, and the Geodata Unit.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a new environmental inspector, as one of the inspectors has chosen to move on to new challenges at the County Administrative Board. The position focuses on handling and supervision in the areas of individual sewage systems, waste management, and environmental protection, as well as coordinating the municipality's overall climate adaptation work.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about environmental issues, curious and brave enough to take on new challenges, believes in development and continuous improvements, and realizes that we need to collaborate to achieve more.

Qualifications

You are a trained environmental inspector or have a degree from another higher education that can be considered equivalent. You have knowledge of the Environmental Code, are computer literate, and can use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. You can communicate, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish. The job also requires you to have a driver's license for a passenger car. Experience working with individual sewage systems and environmental supervision is an advantage.
