Responsibilities

We are now looking for a consultant for an exciting assignment with one of our clients in a technology-driven industry. The role is based at the client's facility but offers some flexibility to work from different office locations. As an operational purchaser, you play a central role in ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of materials and services. You are responsible for the entire purchasing process, from request to delivery and follow-up, handling both contracted and non-contracted purchases with low complexity. Your tasks include conducting purchases based on project and business needs, managing low-cost and low-complexity purchases, and performing operational purchasing activities such as request for quotes, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, complaints, and invoice management. You ensure that suppliers comply with purchase orders and agreed terms, ensure that necessary export documentation is provided, and update and maintain supplier and purchasing data in the ERP system IFS. Additionally, you follow up and evaluate supplier performance, support supplier development and improvement initiatives, and stay updated on relevant commercial and technical aspects within your field. An important part of the role is also to ensure that suppliers are approved according to internal procedures and to negotiate terms for non-contracted purchases. This is a challenging and developing role for those who thrive in a dynamic work environment and have a strategic mindset combined with an operational hands-on mentality.

Qualifications

• You have at least 3 years of experience in operational purchasing.
• You have experience working in ERP systems, preferably IFS.
• You have strong communication skills and experience in supplier follow-up.
• You have experience negotiating smaller contracts and purchasing terms.
• You are fluent in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

We are looking for a meticulous and structured person with good communication skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships. You should be solution-oriented and have a high degree of initiative and independence.

Full-time, office hours. Our client wishes to start on May 5, 2025, and the assignment is expected to run until September 30, 2025 (with good chances of extension).
