Do you want to be involved and driving in the pedagogical development work? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Who are we?
The Resource School is the school for students with autism who need support. The Resource School is located at Dalviksgatan 75, next to Borgsmoskolan grades 7-9. For the school year 2025/2026, the Resource School will expand to 24 places, of which 8 places are for grades 4-6. At the Resource School, individualized teaching is provided in smaller student groups. Borgsmoskolan is a small unit with about 180 students.
Working at the Resource School is an active choice where you as an adult become part of our important work for the future. You will be an important part of our collegial learning, close collaboration around our students, and well-developed student support.
Here, teaching is adapted to each student's needs. The pedagogy is based on knowledge of the individual support needs that may exist in autism spectrum disorders. Students are also given the opportunity to develop their social skills.
Teaching is conducted according to the national curriculum, goals, and timetable.
Your tasks
For the coming year, we are looking for someone who can complement our operations with your specific competence. As a special teacher in language, reading, and writing development, you will work with special education together with other educators at the Resource School and Borgsmoskolan to meet individual students' needs. This involves teaching individually or in smaller groups within different grades and subjects.
You will work in collaboration with subject teachers with a focus on students' learning and to create the best conditions for each individual student. You will also be part of the student health team (EHT).
Who are you?
We see that you are a skilled special teacher with an appropriate special teacher degree for working with students in our grade levels.
We are looking for someone with experience in meeting students aged 10-15 who need support, both academically and socially. You have experience working with individuals diagnosed with NPF, specifically autism.
You build trust and have a relationship-building approach, and you are well acquainted with the curriculum and course plans.
You are confident in yourself, flexible in your working methods, resilient, and able to meet the student's daily condition to motivate them for studies and community. You are solution-focused, have the strength to maintain routines, and are driven by a belief that everyone can succeed.
It is important to be able to act professionally and patiently even in very difficult and pressured situations. A positive view of students and faith in everyone's abilities is of great importance. Here, you need to be a motivational coach as an adult.
You easily build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and you have a clear leadership style and the ability to create security around you. Collaboration with guardians and other external actors, such as child and adolescent psychiatry, is important for the student to have the best conditions for a good school experience.
You master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You are well acquainted with the documentation required within the school's framework, such as pedagogical mappings and action programs.
