JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our school acute offers a safe and structured teaching environment for students who temporarily need a new school context. We work individually or with small teaching groups and an individualized approach to strengthen students' learning and well-being.

We are now looking for an engaged and responsive teacher with a positive outlook! Your responsibilities will include being a teaching teacher at our newly started school acute for students in grades 6-9.

Together with other educators in the work team, you will be responsible for creating and developing a safe and secure environment that attracts and challenges students to activity, learning, and responsibility. You want to be part of driving pedagogical development and you use current research and can apply it in your work. You plan and follow up on teaching and analyze and assess the results. You will work closely with student health and other educators to create teaching that meets students' individual needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Finds it easy to collaborate with students, colleagues, guardians, and other staff. You relate to children and adults in a responsive and smooth manner and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You see collegial learning as a given and a prerequisite for creating new and deepened knowledge.
• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work effectively. You develop students' ability to learn and involve them in planning the operations. You have high and positive expectations of the students and are solution-focused. Furthermore, you possess a strong desire to work to create the best pedagogical conditions for the students.
• Has a positive attitude towards work and acts in accordance with decisions made, operational plans, goals, policies, and guidelines.
• You have good self-awareness, are secure in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership, and have the ability to take leadership both inside and outside the classroom. You work independently and are flexible.

Requirements:

• Are a certified teacher in Swedish/English, Swedish/Social Studies, or special teacher/pedagogue for grades 6-9.
• Experience working with students who have norm-breaking behavior and special educational needs.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience in pedagogical work.
• Previous experience collaborating with social services and child and adolescent psychiatry.

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
