Cultural and Leisure Department

The Cultural and Leisure Department consists of libraries, cultural schools, youth center activities, general culture, and recreational facilities. We handle various grants for both cultural and leisure activities. We support associations in their activities and collaborate with various actors both within the municipal organization and civil society. Our guiding star is that all residents of Strömsund Municipality should have a rich and varied offering of cultural and leisure activities and that children and young people should have good access to various activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job involves delivering books and other media to borrowers throughout Strömsund Municipality based on a rolling schedule. The bookmobile departs from the Central Library in Strömsund. You will be responsible for two smaller buses. This includes ensuring they are fueled, serviced, cleaned, and you will keep driving logs.

You will also gather media for borrowers who receive home delivery via the bookmobile tours.

In addition to the bookmobile tours, you will have some tasks inside the library. You will use our library system to check out and return library media. If necessary, you should be able to staff the information desk at the Central Library.

The job responsibilities include heavy lifting when transporting book boxes.

QUALIFICATIONS

The job involves many meetings with people. Therefore, we place great emphasis on social competence. You will visit borrowers in their homes. We place great importance on personal suitability.

The job involves a lot of independent work. You should be comfortable working alone and independently. You also need to be able to collaborate with the rest of the team.

A B driver's license is required. You should have good experience driving a car.

You need to have basic IT skills.
