The forensic psychiatric regional clinic is today one of the largest clinics in the country for the care of patients under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). The clinic is also tasked with caring for particularly demanding patients under the Compulsory Psychiatric Care Act (LPT). The clinic currently has 101 care places divided into 8 departments but is facing an expansion where the number of departments will increase to 10 and care places to 135.

We are now looking for caregivers for summer vacancies in 2025. The clinic offers a good working environment with varied work in terms of both tasks and working hours. You will be introduced by experienced staff according to the onboarding document and training in the data environment. There you will learn more about clinic and department routines, safety engagement, working methods, documentation, and interaction.

Job Responsibilities

As a caregiver at the forensic psychiatric regional clinic, you are part of a multidisciplinary team that takes care of the patient's daily needs for forensic psychiatric care.

You will, among other things:

• Plan, implement, and follow up care and nursing efforts
• Accompany patients during outdoor activities
• Social activation
• Support patients in daily activities
• Contribute to the department's ongoing operations as part of a health-promoting context. This may include cleaning, running errands, preparing meals, and other practical tasks performed together with colleagues

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant education for the position, such as basic training for caregivers in psychiatric care, nursing assistant education, programs for mental health, or criminology programs, or other education that we assess to correspond to these
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is advantageous if you

• Have previous experience in psychiatric or forensic psychiatric care
• Have additional language skills
• Have a B driver's license
